Lessons from Matilda's wonderful show:)

Lessons from Matilda's (can't believe so much of lessons learned from this wonderful show!) =)))

1. The song 'when I grow up' in it probably bring lotsa nostalgicness😝..so must treasure time!

2. Kindness, diligence and integrity of life..

3. Love and humanity..

4. Always learn!

5. Life's not fair at times but fight for rights! -speak out!

6. Be tough; especially to gifted people out there~

7. And this: be naughty at times (I should say all the time whenever possible)😝😝😝

Hello!

Hello!!

Been wanting to drop by and write a few words, but that procrastination had been ongoing until...now

Will only drop by a few words here and that is:

1) Because of the strong principal that money can't buy time, and I feel that I am not utilising my time  well, the negativity is there....
2) Because of uncertainties and over expectations, disappointments ensue..

but..(lessons)

1) We should try our best in anything that we are chanced upon (oh well, including the cooking part)
2) Be adventurous and anticipate uncertainties, since nothing can be done about it..

Just like this horsey who came charging at me when I was taking its picture not too far away....=.=
This was taken at Newforest by the way...

Not sure if it is a pony or horse...but how would I say; playful? :P

Grass is always 'softer' on the other side of the road

Hello!

Well technically speaking, the grass is indeed softer at a cooler country...erm...muchhhhh cooler country

I wonder if I will bu she de leave here...for now, it's just a so-so feeling..
When people asks, I just say 'so far so good'

Confided with my supervisor today and realised that we are always chasing the tail like a mice..
And he told me that, well, we can't always fulfil other people's requirements..

But to fulfil my own requirements is also....(erm I should lower down my expectations horrr)
But as one of my bests said, we are always fighting.. really can't agree more...
Though I lazy fight leh...

Anywayyy, on a brighter side of the story:

tadaaaa~
Welcoming spring and warmer but not-so-hot-weather:)

Recent trip to Radcliffe Camera

Probably my housemates will be zzzz with my procrastination of giving them their pictures...
*lazy me* lol..

Btw, it's a quarter of the year le... And finally today I found new motivations for this year's plan (well, it's never too late right?)

Lessons: we only learn when we deal with hardships/challenges (err well-known fact) =P

So long for now=)

Fruitful day:)

Today's the day that I felt being treated like some very important contributing personnel. Feel like a grown up person (at this age =.=)! Today's also the day that I felt really thankful for these:

1. Being given advices on current life; just be ready to take risks like what I'm currently doing.
2. Being a listener to some nice stranger (very surprisingly; I probably have a good listener's face today)
3. Being able to solve the current biggest  headache before deadline after my severe pushy mood these two weeks!! and...
4. Being able to be approved of what I want for the current plans. Feel bad that instead of selling myself, others had to keep me continually interested. I guess it's all about my hunger for learning that made me like this. Sigh.. So ungrateful of me yeah?

Anywayyyy, productive day huh?:)

What more can I say?:)

#blessed

All in all, thank you for everything!!:)

Another chapter of adventure:)

Finally finished editing a paper (not of my expertise but just helping) and now, went through the really nice Stephen Hawking's movie!!
I seldom enjoy bibiliographies because I find them boring...but this one --> thumbsssss up! very inspiring, touching and great story:')

Oh, BTW, these are the views that I get while being temporary placed here...
One thing for sure that I get to see more: various species of birds chirping around:)
And less buildings, but more

Don't know what lies ahead yet, but for now: tired of walking and the amount of distance that I have had for the past 4 days is equivalent to twice of walking that I had during my previous China-Sichuan trip.

=.="

Oh well, getting out of comfort zone is not easy, especially the previous 1-2 months of rushing preparation for everything...all for these..
And before the interview's advices...thanks!!!:))

So much was done, so much was being expected to be done and all for these:))) *finally*
----> hopefully smooth one though I think more adventures to come somemore...

Think I had complained all to a few very understanding/listening friend who had went through these...and after hearing C's stories particularly; I am especially super grateful with mine.
And that nice last Malaysian food meal before flying off. Gonna miss my char kway teow and asam laksa for a longggggggg time ah! >.<"

But will have lotsa homemade bak kut teh for sure...haha

And singapore's white pepper bak kut teh also..

Anywayyyyy, I'm still feeling really blessed with all these; awesome family and close friends who had provided so much of help/supports/everythinggggg even until the very last minute: my overweight luggages to be put into the taxi before reaching airport and extra things to be 'tumpang'-ed also.

What more should I say? :'))
Big hugssssss to you awesome people!!! :'))

So longggg~

P/S: haven't done any homework on travelling yet......soooooo tiredddddd...but more to cover soon!!

Frezprit's last photo before being 'di-anak-angkatkan'

Okay this one was a last year's post that I didn't update in time...

Frezprit's last look before it was given to its godfather:P heheee

Beautiful hor? It had grown so well after the raindrops...bu she de give away but I wasn't around to take care of it for some time..

It's godfather warned me that it may turn into a forest (ahem, we shall see hor)
Probably died off and got a new plant replacement also I don't know:P

Anyway, feel kinda coincident with a series of event that had been happening...and kinda surprised with all the coincidence events...
Coincident la hor?

May you grow well and stronger and have more babies yaaaaa~

And thanks for helping me to take care of it! =D

P/s: If you notice a small dot in one of the traps, it was a last crushed beetle (I didn't even know that it was a beetle :/) that died before it was in the trap; and so I sprinkled some drops of water and then the trap closed.

So long Frezprit~ Grow well yaaaaaa~

A warm heart instead of a warm chair

I was at the library waiting for a seat with electric plug when I noticed that a lady was standing in front of me a few feets away and packing her bags quietly. Then, she switched her chair with the next empty chair. As I thought that she was actually going to continue sitting back; she took her bags, turned around, and walked towards me; saying: "I sat too long and my chair was warm and so I switched it".
*touched*
-instead of a warm chair, I got a warm heart.
needless to say, the world needs more angelic people like her...thank you Miss Stranger!!:))

So I will pass on the positive aura when I see the next person ah..:D:D:D

And to add on to this post, I had just resolved one of my biggest issues that had been haunting me since mid-October or early November 2014!!! :D

This is indeed a wonderful day for me lah, from the positive aura from that angelic lady to my then biggest news on that nightmarish non-creditability issue (erm....not the stalker one coz that one resolved long time already:D)

You know, it's really important to know your rights in everything. Not that I'm asking you to argue with everyone, but being ignorant is definitely not a bliss in a HUGE NUMBER of cases.

I have indeed learned a lot during this nightmarish journey... that I felt so so so down initially because I feel that I don't need such lessons as I believe in karma. And that I don't need such experiences. But then comparing to my parents when I was much tinier/younger, I think their hardship were far worse than mine (with us to feed and make noise at home some more).

Though: not that I have done anything like that to others at all, considering that I keep my words as for words and actions.

Oh yeah, I will try to experience some new adventures for the next two weeks...hopefully can survive this new adventure and experience:P (thinner perhaps? heheee)

As for my stalker experiences previously, I actually feel that it is a blessing in disguise experience now:D because we may encounter tailing experiences in our future endeavours when at overseas (after the briefing that we went to hear yesterday).
Kinda ...... because suddenly feel that everywhere is full of crimes =.="

Anywayyyyy, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!!!!! :D
May this year be a more peaceful, better, wonderful, happily, successful and whatever-positive-one-la-year for everyone in everything!!!!

So long~

Flashbacks

I used to be the one wishing the opposite party on special occasions. Now it is the bounce back. Surprised but..

I wouldn't really want to think much; but I would never want to contact my past and  offer help because it would be really hurtful to do so; unless I have plans to reconcile.

That said, meaning: I do not have the guts nor interests in becoming very friends again with my past.

Maybe I haven't let go still? (That is worst case scenario) *urgh*

Well, unfortunately, the opposite had happened to my past.

On an unrelated story, I understand that some actions need a lot of guts.. But soulmates? (Oh just saw a confession of a girl who had confessed to a guy because she felt right)

I would still be traditional: the guy should make the first move. If he's not daring enough to even make the first move, how to rely on him for future decisions..zzz =.=

My ego is really high huh? Truly admit this =.=

Anyway, merry Xmas and happy new year! Let past be bygones~

A new exciting avenue is coming soon, I hope ( sometimes I feel so tired with disappointed excitements nowadays) :/

Winter solstice festival

I was initially planning to catch a last minute train or bus ride home to surprise my parents in due time to celebrate this dongzhi festival.. But my current flu problem had made me stay over here to rest :S

Since my fave dessert shop is also not very near to my current staying place, I had decided to skip my tradition of having rice balls this year.. Until my spontaneous cravings told me that I should walk to a nearby mall to buy and cook myself..

So ta daaaaaaa~~~|

Can't buy 1/2 peanut and 1/2 black sesame (what I do if I buy cooked one from my fave dessert shop) so have to buy entire packet with black sesame only..

And only to realise that:

A packet of grounded peanut was also inside to eat along with the rice ball + soups! Good Hor!:p

Oh, I didn't take the grounded peanut because it was so late and I hate cleaning up more later (the powder may fly in my room) so I decided to finish the rice balls and went to sleep.

Mission accomplished!!:D

Btw, winter Soltice is an astronomical day with the longest night of the year and has the shortest day period.. Why we have tang yuans? It is to signify the coming new year, an event for family get-togetherness and that, having these means there's an increase of one year old in age.

Chinese New Year is coming soon le!

Salute to these bikers!

http://kl.coconuts.co/2014/12/05/dbkl-goes-silent-pothole-complaints-biker-group-repairs-roads-kl-themselves

Instead of answering reports that fell to silent ears or can't be bothered notes, they were more hardworking in changing the road signs...and to cause havoc in now and future..

For changing road signs: it's a totally waste of money, causing direction headaches, changes of address worldwide-satellite system, and that someone were robbed and in order to report the affected area/location)

These people 'so hardworkingly' do unnecessary things than to properly do job that actually serve the people...(read: http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Community/2014/11/26/Baffled-over-new-road-names-City-folk-surprised-by-DBKLs-sudden-decision/)

Why always walk backwards than to fly forward ah? *depressing* =.=

Anyway, this is what mismanagement is all about.. zzzzz
So memalukan, as always... sighhhh...

Frezprit's growth

It's my VFT's name.. Meant to be "free-spirited"; just like the insects that freely being eaten by it:p

Okay I'm not that cruel.. I just named it that hoping that it would be more free-spirited as our lives are often tied to rules or things that we have to do:p

More shoots out hor?:)))

Think I'm going to miss it a lot next year when it's under the care of its 'godfather'.. Hopefully it will grow more and live happily lah:)

I have yet to transfer the baby plant to another pot.. Planning to put it in a nice fishbowl:)

Been packing a lot of things within these few days and threw out the junks; as I didn't organize my things properly during my shifting to this new place..

New year~ new life~ new experiences~

Stamps and childhood

I still remember we siblings used to fight over the loss of our stamps; tears and threatens and breakouts; and even resort to stealing the other party's stamps; or counting the number of stamps when we put these on our table just to enjoy it (show off).

Funniest part was when those aunties and uncles saw us collecting these and kind-heatedly gave us one bag of envelopes that they have collected in their office; and in an attempt to divide fairly among ourselves (which is rarely possible as we were selective on the stamps that we want); eventually --> fights ensued.

How innocent were lives back then hor?
I showed this picture in our family chat room; and all the memories flooded back..

I have plenty of time this month to do this.. December is resting time lol..

And will be re-organizing my stamps here during my free time.. Lol

My Venus flytrap has babies!!

Got this Venus flytrap (VFT) as a birthday pressie last month; and another friend gave me a pretty 'colonial' style vase to accompany it.

In which, coincidentally, I saw the same vase in a colonial hotel that we were staying for our chiangmai trip:p

Really pretty right? I have named it as Frezprit.. Heehee

This was the classic vase (left, in my room now) and the right one was seen in a colonial-like hotel:)

I didn't use the case for this plant btw..

Now, my VFT is about two months old (and don't look that pretty le). As I was doing mini gardening this morning to remove the black leaves, I found this... Tadaaaaa~

Baby VFT!!! :D sooo happy! I have in fact, watered it with boiled water as Sg water is low in Total dissolved solid (TDS) but after reading it yesterday, I realised that the TDS of tap water here is still higher than 50. *sigh*

Sometimes I use filtered water to water it and the forums that I went through yesterday says that--> inappropriate..

The best water is in fact, rain water; reverse osmosis water or distilled water (those that are entirely free of minerals and nutrients); as minerals can kill the plant. That explains why sphagnum moss with peat is used to culture VFT as it has high water retention and low nutrients availability.

Hence, I went to collect an approximate 500ml of rainwater just only because it was raining heavily:p
First time collecting rainwater and found that it has lotsa particles in it..:/

I remembered back in my kiddie days, my dad would be happily placing pots of flowers under the rain. Made me laugh so much when I see that. Now I know why...

And also,..
*shake head* my new obsession... *urgh*

I finally know how to propagate it too as I was only reading about it yesterday..:)

Hopefully it can go through without dormancy...

So long~

P/s: I have a plant in school that ages same as my graduate years.. That was a mint plant that was cultured from terrarium; and from a leaf only.. Though I miss it, I have yet to transfer it to home because landlady may not be happy.. Sigh.. Talk about living in homes that do not belong to ourselves :/

Be patient!

Hello..

The lesson for today:

BE PATIENT!!! These kinds of culture do happen, not what you had expected to have one side only. Really an inexperienced person (sigh! talking about myself and blabbing here paiseh)
How come so irrational today ah? :(
Please weigh PROs and CONs first =.= (I did, but insufficient)
Probably because of that fiery message I sent to someone in the morning for not keeping promises..

So desperate meh?? Oh well, it's something to remember in years to come but I really can't afford any mistakes to be taken as experiences at the moment... I wasn't always in this situation because I am quite a patient person, but today's (JUST ONLY) occasion would be labelled not as pro-active, but rather as desperate lorrrr...

Hopefully didn't get minus mark :/

I should take it as 'die die lah' as I had been in this mode for a long time since my graduation. Maybe because of mood changes ah? Haihz...no reasons can substitute my erm, over-reaction for today =.="

Chiang Rai, Thailand Snack Shop that you should NOT go and buy; A visit to Chiang Mai

Thongsuen and Pattaravadae Co. Ltd
68 Moo 5 Wiang Pa Pao, Chiang Rai 57170

PLEASE DON'T VISIT THIS SHOP!!!!

This was the shop that we bought some snacks such as the following..

And she found tiny black insects in one of it that she thrown off so fast for getting so disgusted..

All the packets of nuts that my aunt bought were with a weird smell :'(

How could these people sell such goods?!!!
Worst, it can cost liver damage and lives from food poisoning!!!

At Mae Hong Son, there was a lady that sells avocado that cut the fruits in front of us. However, both cut avocado were oxidized (turned bad) and she was so embarrassed. I felt warmth with her honesty actually.... ... But this snack shop is really bad =,=

We bought some very fresh nuts in the Warorot Market, which has many artpieces at the basement shop and is known to have better quality souvenirs. The nuts were labelled with 'AAA' markings and were even fresher than the morning local market that we went when we wanted to buy offerings for monks. This market is within walking distance from the Night Bazaar. Some magnet souvenirs were hand drawn so well!

Won't be blogging much on this trip but just as a precaution for you guys, please DO NOT visit this Chiang Rai snack shop. Thank you.

Finding solitude in drawing..

While searching for holiday mood +
solitude, I ended up polishing my drawing skills (procrastinated since ages ago =.=)

Well, we're supposed to squeeze the lemon juice out if life treats us as sour as lemon.

I was reading on some law and regulation  matters regarding to workforce stuffs yesterday night and realised that things seemed darker than it had seemed actually.. Ignorance is a bliss Hor :/ (bluff myself for few weeks =.=)

Now, what should I say? Squeeze lemon juice, make a lemonade and look at the bright side *pat pat

Maybe things won't be this bad leh? (Still bluffing myself.. No thanks)

I always prepare myself in the worse case scenario; don't know why I have such a lousy habit but usually that's how I prepare myself. Probably coz can't rely on anyone to help me a lot ba...

I guess that I also learned a lot these few months. What a funny experience lor; thought things would be better drastically (oh well, actually it did because I have more time to settle own things)
Less harassments (pity my friend that got harassed because of me)..

On the other side, more time means more me-time, reflections; back to square 1 but happy on one side; and uncertainties on the other side

Lessons:
1. Please do homework more carefully and no more relying on word of mouth or friends only (tough lesson for me lorrrr)

2. When we don't have hope, we'd have less disappointments (or
perhaps none). But stay motivated on the correct track because every passing minute cannot be refunded anymore.

3. No point regretting what has been done. Forget the past and fear not for the future (something that I got from watching the recent drama series on correctional behavior also). Meaningful:)

4. Be rational and keep calm. Things will happen in due course (as if fated lah); because rush rush also in the end is like that *urgh* or even worse/negatively unexpected..

Btw, we change when we meet the love of our life --> for better; I never changed much leh.. But I think over the years, I =.= ; I have surrounding friends that have changed because of me. This, adds me to another misery (a recent encounter). Probably because I was too ignorant all along due to busy, roller coaster life... *urgh

Kind of irritated actually :((

On the other hand, because I was relying on some people's help (you know la when desperate); things went worse. All were victimized. To put it safely, no win-win situation but more learning lessons. Time to get back on the feet after all the nightmares le...
Ganbatte!!!

P/s: the Madame Solittude is some manga series character.. Not sure if it's really misspelled that way.. Cbb :p

Thought the bad things have ended...

First of all, this is going to be a pretty negative post..

Thought all bad things have ended and will see triple rainbow, only to realise that I'm caught in another act of disappointment..

And seemed that the events that had happened are prolonged and not those short, crash courses during my graduate studies..

I still get harassed by stalkr through messages (which apparently I have finally changed the number and did not inform the rest of the related-circle on the number change, even the close lab members because letting them know would only cause them to tell lies)..
Although the messages sounded kind "ie if you need my help, please do not hesitate to find me" bla bla...
I showed the message to one my the lab members and the answer was "doesn't sound harmful"
To me, I also CBB whether you think I'm paranoid or not...
But it just reminds me of those thriller series when the kidnapper wants the one hiding to come out from the hiding place (while trying to run away/escape) and promises security, safety, no harms, etc..

I didn't even tell my ex-boss of the change of number...

Ie: if they know and when that idio* asks, they have to pretend. It's better if they don't know right? I'm still contactable anyway through some accounts that don't need phone number.

I am really glad that I have moved away too..though initially felt like new landlady is very fussy; but sooner I realised that she is understanding in some ways. And provided me some new guidance that I am quite happy at the meantime..

I also realised that some hopes can never be carried on so I chose to let go..

My previous friend contacted me again, to my surprise..Okay, I may think too much and contemplated too, but my ex landlady (which I visited her few days back to see her and get some letters because she had called me twice in 3 weeks to ask how I am) had mentioned this: 好马不吃回头草 when she asked me whether I want to move back or not..*guilty*
Literally speaking, the chinese idiom was used for the wrong meaning...
I told her that I didn't want her to wait and waste her source of income...and it's not a job, it's a room lahh =.=

Anyway, back to the story: although I think that this is overthinking: but
好马不吃回头草 is applicable to jobs and relationships..which reminds me of my past. Anywayyy, no turning back although I was contacted and there were signs/hints (okay okay i overthink~) cannnoooot perasan!

Then I also probably choose to let go of another haunting, prolonged crisis, it just wouldn't work I guess...

Then there is also this job thing that made me superbly disappointed... I thought it could end all the bad things le, but the recent news that I've heard made me...speechless. How could that someone be so no creditability??

Many stories in these recent months, and 2 years..and most of it prolonged, so much terrible than work-till-wee hours-labwork-no-results-days
:/

But on the other hand, kinda thankful with caring friends that wondered whether I'll fly off for work trip or not because I didn't bother to update them anymore after realising all these crisis.

My another friend said "so dramatic lorr"
I fully agree.... :/

Anyway, I have to hang on, but not very sure of the brighter side anymore...
So long..

Thanks and Picture credits

P/S: Oh well, at least no more midnight-oil burnings!

Stalker emailed me...urgh

And so, the stalker has veryyyyyy thick elephant skin as what my mom says...

It was 2 messages last week
today early morning at 1.38 am, another email that says gratitude + a pdf containing the pictures of the notes that I have left to correct st*pid behaviour for work and those that I CBB to mention face-to-face from early this year in the workplace..

The psycho person actually took pictures of all these and put in the ppt pictures..for so many months!!!!

I reli, reli, reli can't understand why is it still going on??!!

What I have learned is:

A weird/stalker behaviour of 'constantly harassing' belongs to someone who is extremely selfish, no compassion, rigid and stubborn.

I do not know if these are true, just my two cents.

I've in fact, spoken to some people (close friends usually) and few admitted that they did this when they broke up, years ago, but not at this 30-ish age.
One that knows the stalker closely said, he has an innocent mind.

I was like..@@ is that innocence OR selfish??

I also updated my close friends of the chronological events, in case something is bound to happen *sobs*

Reminds me of those sending weird parcels to house etc..(those thrillers that I used to watch a lot)

But the CBB mode is somehow quite going on especially with the workload that I have before my holiday..
SIGH..

No wonder the education level goes more faster to the drain...

I really wonder what will happen in 20-30 years time
The education system is going down, and the leaders are not even bothered because of own well-being, and not for the future generations
They blame these elites to leave the country, but they didn't realise that the unfairness is getting worse
If these students stayed on, the future generations will benefit from them as they are really capable

Now this give chances to these elites to leave the country, and this is not the only case. It has been ongoing for many, many years..even when I was very, very young..

The entire system is really a crap!

Such a shame and disgrace to the education system, fairness and equality

Sobs...RIP Robin Williams

My fave show with him was numerous, and one really unforgettable is the "Dead Poet Society...

Candle image was googled so picture rights remain to the image's owner.

RIP Robin Williams....

Today, I was surprised that I was thought of when discussion is needed for that person's future project:) too bad la...things happen for a reason right....

And today, my junior helped to sit opposite me during lunch as one knows why I was so reluctant to join them for lunch..

Bad and good day.. 50-50

Subtle harassment is still ongoing...growing hatred but at the same time, CBB mood is turned on too..

As for the lab meeting, my boss was very 'face giving', asking me if he should disclose it and he didn't...hehe

List of eventful events though was initially shocked and saddened with the loss of Robin Williams..

My blog today is really *no face see* but I'm also not entirely in the blogging mood. Just to leave a short note..

So long..
