Singapore Science Centre

My previous trip to SSC was an eye-opening one, but my system (that's me!) had been lagging enough to post this up..

Well, it wasn't that I was lazy but these few weeks had been one of the most 'coping-up-with-life-but-not-doing-that-well weeks'. So many sad events had taken place that I wasn't really in the mood of writing anything..

Anyway, life has to go on no matter what happens. Be it you want it or not. So, instead of mourning or being more sad, I choose to go on with a better perception of life.

So ta daa~~ my belated Science Centre Visit...here you go!

This was taken during the lining up to buy the admission tickets.

We've noticed that the mirror could shield the operator directly from any err..saliva that might be sprinkled out by customers. As you know, this shield also means that we can't hear much of what she's saying so she had to use a microphone and a speaker to transmit it to us.. Well, science really does help and applied at this Science centre.

I remember going to some places in which we had to "huh??" whenever there's a mirror shield because we can barely hear what the other party is talking about.

JK the Magician
Actually, the Magic show was quite okay- at least there were performances that did entertained us. For example, he managed to hold a rope with one hand. If only I get to touch it and see if there's a steel in it...It looked so rigid!

The Lightning effects
You get to press a button and the miniature lightning will appear.

High technology kids' games
At this I-space section, which was also my favorite section of all, you can see various high-technology gadgets. For example, this game whereby small kids can roll the dice and the game will proceed in the monitor. There were also some other games such that is similar to Wii, but you use your hand as a weapon (in those war-laden games) or as tools, or even this one, below:-

Our hand acts as a cursor to move the slides on the huge screen!
Imagine those times when you are lazy to move your hands for exercising, this is when you can burn some calories! Yup, since futuristic gadgets will tend to make human less need for movements and work (reminiscing WALLE).

This one really 'awwwwwwed' me to the max!!
In this mini studio, you get to experience the TRUE HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO SYSTEM!
Just sit comfortably on the chair and you get to click on a remote control placed nearby for whatever movie that you are interested in. We chose classical music and the effect was "Wowww!"

You can really feel as if you are in a symphony orchestra., especially with the huge screen and in this cozy room. Imagine if you're watching a thriller movie..I bet you really can't sleep that night.

There was another section at the Human Body Section that did amazed me for the wonderful 3D show. After wearing the black shades, we get to see how virus invades our body cells and stay in our DNA and continue replicating. It was nice and interactive.

That was all. There was a section that we've missed going- the ecology park. Maybe at the next round ;)

So long~~
