Hello!

Hello!!

Been wanting to drop by and write a few words, but that procrastination had been ongoing until...now

Will only drop by a few words here and that is:

1) Because of the strong principal that money can't buy time, and I feel that I am not utilising my time  well, the negativity is there....
2) Because of uncertainties and over expectations, disappointments ensue..

but..(lessons)

1) We should try our best in anything that we are chanced upon (oh well, including the cooking part)
2) Be adventurous and anticipate uncertainties, since nothing can be done about it..

Just like this horsey who came charging at me when I was taking its picture not too far away....=.=
This was taken at Newforest by the way...

Not sure if it is a pony or horse...but how would I say; playful? :P

Grass is always 'softer' on the other side of the road

Hello!

Well technically speaking, the grass is indeed softer at a cooler country...erm...muchhhhh cooler country

I wonder if I will bu she de leave here...for now, it's just a so-so feeling..
When people asks, I just say 'so far so good'

Confided with my supervisor today and realised that we are always chasing the tail like a mice..
And he told me that, well, we can't always fulfil other people's requirements..

But to fulfil my own requirements is also....(erm I should lower down my expectations horrr)
But as one of my bests said, we are always fighting.. really can't agree more...
Though I lazy fight leh...

Anywayyy, on a brighter side of the story:

tadaaaa~
Welcoming spring and warmer but not-so-hot-weather:)

Recent trip to Radcliffe Camera

Probably my housemates will be zzzz with my procrastination of giving them their pictures...
*lazy me* lol..

Btw, it's a quarter of the year le... And finally today I found new motivations for this year's plan (well, it's never too late right?)

Lessons: we only learn when we deal with hardships/challenges (err well-known fact) =P

So long for now=)

Another chapter of adventure:)

Finally finished editing a paper (not of my expertise but just helping) and now, went through the really nice Stephen Hawking's movie!!
I seldom enjoy bibiliographies because I find them boring...but this one --> thumbsssss up! very inspiring, touching and great story:')

Oh, BTW, these are the views that I get while being temporary placed here...
One thing for sure that I get to see more: various species of birds chirping around:)
And less buildings, but more

Don't know what lies ahead yet, but for now: tired of walking and the amount of distance that I have had for the past 4 days is equivalent to twice of walking that I had during my previous China-Sichuan trip.

=.="

Oh well, getting out of comfort zone is not easy, especially the previous 1-2 months of rushing preparation for everything...all for these..
And before the interview's advices...thanks!!!:))

So much was done, so much was being expected to be done and all for these:))) *finally*
----> hopefully smooth one though I think more adventures to come somemore...

Think I had complained all to a few very understanding/listening friend who had went through these...and after hearing C's stories particularly; I am especially super grateful with mine.
And that nice last Malaysian food meal before flying off. Gonna miss my char kway teow and asam laksa for a longggggggg time ah! >.<"

But will have lotsa homemade bak kut teh for sure...haha

And singapore's white pepper bak kut teh also..

Anywayyyyy, I'm still feeling really blessed with all these; awesome family and close friends who had provided so much of help/supports/everythinggggg even until the very last minute: my overweight luggages to be put into the taxi before reaching airport and extra things to be 'tumpang'-ed also.

What more should I say? :'))
Big hugssssss to you awesome people!!! :'))

So longggg~

P/S: haven't done any homework on travelling yet......soooooo tiredddddd...but more to cover soon!!

Kranji Farm

Due to lotsa work and limited outdoor activity, we've finally decided to go out for a good photography session..In short, to get back to our beloved interests :D

LG suggested that we go to this Kranji Farm, where there are numerous industrialised farms here..In fact, I was quite surprised that Singapore has farms :P

The bus driver is an exceptional friendly uncle. He was introducing the farms to a US tourist (and perhaps to us also).
However, the shuttle bus service is only available at a long interval of 1 and 1/2 hours..which made us walked like !@#$%^& at such a hot weather.
We also learned another lesson: apply sunblock!!! Sigh..when I reached home,  I could clearly see the vast skin colour differences between the skin hidden underneath my watch with those exposed areas >.<

The farms over there were leased out by the Singapore government for 20 years and these farmers will get initial funds to set up the farms. These are the photos, do enjoy =)

Btw, to go to this farm, visit this site for its location and maps..make sure you guys do enough homework before going to these farms, as waiting for the next shuttle bus is a really a time-wasting and energy-draining experience~ Especially if it's a really really hot sunny day..
Also, there's a public bus that goes in there :SMRT bus no 925 from Kranji MRT.
What caught my attraction at this fish farm was mainly this huge friendly macaw! :D It reminds me of my past visit to Singapore's Bird Park which I had the ultimate chance to pat and scratch the macaws at the talking-birds session. In fact, some of the macaws in the bird park were initially unfriendly and some were jealous when they see you scratching others but not themselves.

I was told by one of the zookeepers to ask the macaws "Can I touch you?". If the macaw leans forward with its head bowed, that means that you can scratch their heads. If this sign was not given, you should not put your hand/finger into the cage because those macaws can bite. (However, any injuries resulted from my statement here is at your own risks and discretion yeah..Don't blame me or sue me later if you got bitten :P)

Aiii...I missed those moments greatly! I even told myself that I want to go volunteer there if I have those opportunities.. :P

The 'Hello-greeting' Macaw at Max Koi. Sooo soo cutee!!

Unidentified satellite mushroom by the roadside during our place-hunting spree
At Nyee Phoe Farm..:
Water droplets of a spider lily stem
At Hay Dairies with cuteeee goats and kids~

Rained heavily after that..got drenched =.="
But a good experience~

So long~

FGS Dong Zen Temple Jenjarom

Went to FGS during CNY (Chinese New Year) with my family:D
But only posting up the pictures now..aiksss

Beautifully handcrafted paintings..
And all these nice paintings were sewed like this! Really delicate works...

It was a fast trip there but we all definitely enjoyed it =D

So long~

West Coast Park

I loitered at West Coast Park with my baby soon after I came back from home (post December 2009), but the pictures were still in my baby's memory until recently..

Aiii... see la how busy my life is *ahemm...

Going to parks like these while bringing some snacks and a good book is perhaps, one of the best past time favorite in me.. It's definitely definitely much better than going to overcrowded places and feel like can-packed sardines..

Sky-packed kites
Soaring eagle~

Waited until sunset :P

And before left, this man's kite dropped into the sea right before me! Using life-saving skills, he then pulled up the distraught smiley kite..

So long~

Back home and Esplanade trips pictures

Happy New Year 2010!!

Basically, what I did during new year was to fulfill the promise I've made to myself earlier- that is...ta daaaaaaa...owning a better better camera!!

=)

Well, I kept my promise..although presently, I didn't really spend that much of the time 'entertaining' my second 'pet'..
However, I did play around with most of its functions..

Here are the functions that I've played it:

1) Changing the tones- as G 11 has various tones, these are some that I've played with.

Sepia

B/W Black and white
Neutral

Automatic mode
I was watching this! :P
You can select the colour that you want.. this function should work really well when all the focus is to a particular object only, especially if that object is less striking.. but I think it'd work very well with a stalk of flower too.. ;)2) And esplanade! =) Was playing around with the aperture and shutter speed..I had this at F8.0 and shutter speed of 1-2"

Hehe..my fave pic!! Turned out just so so nice! =)
With lotsa lotsa seashells for this month's Esplanade's theme..! =)
Fyi, all the pictures were unedited at all, except for the size..

So long~
