Ghost chit-chat

Two ghosts met and both chat about how they died.

1st ghost : How did you died?
2nd ghost : I died of cold.

1st ghost : How does it feel when you're dying in cold?

2nd ghost : Actually, I was imprisoned in the refrigerator. Initially, I was shivering, then my whole body started to freeze, later I felt the whole world was dark and I died. Fortunately, I died with not much suffering.

1st ghost : You're so pitiful....
2nd ghost : How about you? How did you die?

1st ghost : I died from heart attack.
2nd ghost : I see, why did you have a heart attack?

1st ghost : Actually, I found out that my wife is having an affair with another man. One day, when I came back from work, I saw a pair of man shoes outside my house. Then, I realized that the guy was in my house with my wife. When I rushed into the bedroom, my wife was alone. I must find where that b*stard is hiding. So I searched the toilet, I ran downstairs, looked in the storeroom, but the b*stard was not there. So, I ran upstairs and searched the wardrobe, but I found nothing. Because I was too tired of all that running, I got a heart attack and died.
2nd ghost : Why didn't you look for the b*stard in the fridge? If you did, both of us were alive now!!

Lessons of life for relationships

Got this email again and decided to post it up (credits to the author whom is anonymous)
One of the nice emails which we all can learn from it..A very long post somehow..

TRUST
A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call. She answered, 'Public Utilities Board.' There was silence. She repeated, 'PUB.' There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she Heard a lady's voice, 'Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from my husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is.'

Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just 'hello' instead of 'PUB'.

NO POINTING FINGERS

A man asked his father-in-law, 'Many people praised you for a successful marriage. Could you please share with me your secret?'

The father-in-law answered in a smile, 'Never criticize your wife for her shortcomings or when she does something wrong. Always bear in mind that because of her shortcomings and weaknesses, she could not find a better husband than you.'

We all look forward to being loved and respected. Many people are afraid of losing face. Generally, when a person makes a mistake, he would look around to find a scapegoat to point the finger at. This is the start of a war. We should always remember that when we point one finger at a person, the other four fingers are pointing at ourselves.

If we forgive the others, others will ignore our mistake too.

CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS?

A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested 'I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one.' The SDU officer said, 'Your requirements, please.' 'Oh, good looking, polite, humorous , sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to accompany me the whole day at home during my leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest.' The officer listened carefully and replied, 'I understand you need television.'

There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband, because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up and discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.

NO OVERPOWERING

Many relationships fail because one party tries to overpower another, or demands too much. People in love tend to think that love will conquer all and their spouses will change the bad habits after marriage. Actually, this is not the case. There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that 'It is easier to reshape a mountain or a river than a person's character.'

It is not easy to change. Thus, having high expectation on changing the spouse character will cause disappointment and unpleasantness.

It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our expectations.

RIGHT SPEECH

There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that 'A speech will either prosper or ruin a nation.' Many relationships break off because of wrong speech. When a couple is too close with each other, we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if it would hurt the other party.

A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted, 'Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school.' On the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, 'Luckily you married me. Otherwise you will be the wife of a construction worker.' She answered,'You should appreciate that you married me. Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you.'

Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship. It's like a broken egg - cannot be reversed.

PERSONAL PERCEPTION

Different people have different perception. One man's meat could be another man's poison. A couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way home, a boy commented, 'Very stupid. Why neither of them ride on the donkey? 'Upon hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the donkey. He walked besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, 'The husband is the head of family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband is on foot?' Hearing this, the wife quickly got down and let the husband ride on the donkey.

Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, 'How can the man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman.'

The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then, they met a young man. He commented, 'Poor donkey, how can you hold up the weight of two persons. They are cruel to you.' Hearing that, the husband and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on their shoulders.

It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkey was frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the river.

You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone condemn you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the future.

Thus, do not be too bothered by others words if our conscience is clear..

BE PATIENT

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, 'Daddy, I'm sorry about your truck.' Then he asked, 'but when are my fingers going to grow back?' The father went home & committed suicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

'Good Life starts only when you stop wanting a better One'
'Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away’

TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.

Sweetest smile

Yesterday, I was rushing to school earlier to get some things done. On the way walking to the bus stop, which is about 7 minutes away, my mind was flooded with various things. Everything just kept on popping up. Thinking and thinking...

My bus was not here yet.

Suddenly, my attention was caught on to a little Chinese girl of age 4-5.
I think she was very happy getting the drink from her mother as the latter passed her the drink.
There was no conversation between them.
But the cute girl continued smiling the most innocent, sweetest and happiest smile for a long time.
Or so I felt it.
10 secs maybe?

I was standing there, watching her only.
I was stunned.
I was cheered up too!
Then when her smile faded, her mother was looking at me.
I gave a quick smile and boarded my bus.

And I really regretted for not capturing that moment.
Arrgh....

Never mind, here's a substitute.

Cheater...

We went to PGP (Prince George's Park Residence) for 3 consecutive days!
From 11th-13th February and we enjoyed every single moment we were there.
Good and nice food.
Plus, nice scenery and it's convenient;)
Well, the first day's one on 11th Feb was a tiring one.
Climbed up hills and stairs..felt like climbing the Batu Caves stairs somehow.

I really felt that!! :P

And the long distances that we used to go there..could really burned up lots of calories.

Anyway, while we were there on the third day, we saw the following poster at a 'forever-closed' desserts stall which sells yummy food. This is what we saw:

Cheating stall!!

And the next thing that my friend did was:

Creative, aren't we? ;P

P/s: The pen is always there somehow. Yet to be vandalised..

Nah Jade, this is what I've done..30 minutes;) with improved techniques..

Potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, and pork meat.
Err, my dinner also since there were leftovers.

Osteoporosis

Please take more calcium and magnesium. When you take calcium, the magnesium element should be present.

For more information, please read this.

However, calcium supplements should be taken into care because a high dose can lead to kidney stones.

After what had happened to my grandma, I think it's time for serious thoughts on taking more calcium in our body.
It's not something that we can take for granted, especially to women. And it just happens. No warnings. No symptoms.
Only post-symptoms with great pain.
And she will be bedridden completely.

These sufferings are ridiculous.
Why do sufferings take place?
Why??

First self-cooked meal here!!

Very excited in the beginning.
Then..
The pictures would explain more..

Rice on hotplate

Boiling after 30 minutes..after changing to another pot that belongs to my housemate.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the slow rice-cooking process,
Minced lean pork, used half of it
Washed it few times

Eggs..:P
+ salt+soy sauce.. mixed

Added with lean meat
Then added with cubed tomatoes (need more veggies in food!)
In fact, back at home, we steam this, without the tomato.
But I'm trying something else..

Took me so long to have it properly cooked.

Then...

Finally, there !!

Such a simple meal, but took me almost 1 h 30 mins!
The rice couldn't cook properly using the hotplate.
Problem: hotplate shuts off automatically even though the temperature is not high enough.
Will try again with slight technique modifications:P

Planning for ABC soup, but have to think thrice now.

So long~~

Read journals agAinN...

Journals reading..
Have to speed up!
Now, I feel like aged crawling turtle looking for food.
Step by step.
Hours by hours..
Gonna be a looong journey ahead *squinting eyes for food source*
The good thing is, I managed to understand what the first presenter was talking today on her project.
But the following presenters..*ahem*

After classes and meeting, I called my aunt.

Sigh..

Hopefully you're recovering very soon, grandma!
My supports with you! You'd be fine soon!
Miss you a lot.

Friendship

Friends
Remain
And
Never
Can
End

Remember this acronym?

In fact, I don't really see much truth on this. Possibly because, most 99% friends use friends than actually, preserving a friendship.

But what I heard of yesterday night was a great story:)

How a person is changed drastically from A to B, physically and mentally.
It's like a new person!
Well, I think it's not really that different, to me, you've changed to a much much wiser person. The phrase that you always use- 'from experience, from experience and from experience'.
So much of experiences ar?
Everything also from experiences.
:P

Hmm...but true, I have similar cases but definitely not as drastic as yours.
My teachers are many and transient, err, mostly.

But, I'm truly inspired.
You're very very lucky, Kuan Ming.
Really lucky.
It's even better than striking a lottery ok!

And I'm glad that you treasure it fully.
By the way, who's BOSS no 1??

If Boss no. 2 is so meaningful already, the first one must be even greater!

P/S: What I am today is also a result of changes from many, many people that had come across my life. To me, I am really thankful for them because experienced people taught me more than anything else that I've learned in this world. Thank you, guys!!
a BIG HUG to all of you!!
Emo blog early in the morning:P

Cough Medicine!!

That's what my department is called!

COF M= Cough Medicine

Interesting acronym yeah?
My groupmate just told me today.
This saves my headache of telling people the department I am in=)
I've been goooood enough to say the abbreviation COFM, and when people people ask what? (or, what?!)
Then I'll start blabbing the looooong name of it.

Now, this acronym saves my saliva;)

Just finished a 24-hr assignment and read more than 10 journals. Last year my lecturer gave his students one week, and this year's students- 72 hrs!! Okay, not exaggerating enough. I should say, 3 days!!
+.="
*phew*

Journal reading session

Been reading journal for hours yesterday and continuing now, specifically A journal for few hours, but nothing much came to my understanding.

Forcing myself to read the same paragraph again and again and finally, I'm at the 10th page. Yay!!! Out of the 11 pages:D

A sense of accomplishment..hehe

But if you ask me to explain the paper to you- I still can't do it=.=

Gone are my efforts..
:P
